How did you get started playing football?
I’m from Brazil so we grow up watching football and playing for fun. I started playing on a team in school and joined a club when I was 12-years-old.
What’s the most memorable goal you have scored?
My first goal for the Wanderers (Aug.1 vs. York United). It was my first professional goal so it’s a special one. I told myself before I went into the box that I need to go 100% for a goal.

Including yourself and one Wanderers teammate, who would you want on your dream 5-aside team?
I’d pick Rampy (Andre Rampersad), Marquinhos, Thiago Silva and Luka Modrić.
What’s an interesting fact about one of your teammates?
Some guys really like their routines like Pierre (Lamothe) and Marcello (Polisi). Marcello is ‘the iceman’, he needs an ice bath every day and you’ll always find Pierre doing his own stretches before and after practice.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Right now I’m trying to learn more English and get better at speaking English. So in my free time I’m taking a couple of English classes and then watching movies and reading books in English too.
What’s your favourite thing about Halifax?
I like the summer weather and I’ve been to a couple of beaches. Those things remind me of home in Brazil.
What’s one dish you have mastered?
Black beans from Brazil, we call it Feijoada and then Brazilian barbecue with meat we call Picanha. I cook it sometimes for the guys.
If you weren’t a professional footballer, what would you be doing?
That’s hard, I’ve never thought about it. I’ve played football my whole life so something with football.
