The Halifax Wanderers are pleased to partner with Nova Scotia-based Black Harbour Distillers to create the club’s official rum.
“We always love showcasing innovative Nova Scotian businesses that are producing amazing products,” Wanderers Founder and President Derek Martin said. “We are excited to collaborate on our own special Wanderers blend for our fans of legal drinking age to try and take home. Along with tasting great, it looks great on the shelf!”
Located in Hubbards, NS, Black Harbour Distillers was established in 2018 by founder Jaime Landry as a first-year Dalhousie University commerce student. She wanted to pursue her dreams and created a company that closely worked with the community and offered locally crafted blended spirits. Black Harbour Distillers imports the finest spirits from across Canada and the world to assist in producing exceptional blended spirits.
“Black Harbour Distillers is thrilled to announce the partnership as the official rum of the Halifax Wanderers,” Black Harbour Distillers owner Jaime Landry said. “This limited edition Wanderers Rum will give you hints of coconut, vanilla, banana and caramel in a smooth white rum. BHD is ready to be the brand you can toast to while supporting your beloved Wanderers soccer team!”
Beginning at Friday’s home match against Forge FC (June 30), fans of legal drinking age can find the Black Harbour Distillers tent at the Wanderers Grounds for a tasting of the Wanderers Rum. The rum is also available at Black Harbour’s retail store and online.
“Collaborations like this foster a sense of pride and unity within the community that we are excited to be a part of with the Wanderers. We are excited to serve the loyal and passionate fans and provide a quality rum,” Landry said. “We are excited to be part of the excitement of home games at the Wanderers Grounds and be able to share the passion for the team across our local communities outside of the Halifax area.”
