The Halifax Wanderers will now face an East Coast Select team on March 15 & 16 in Halifax. These matches are in place of previously scheduled matches against Cape Breton University. Due to circumstances beyond CBU’s control, the Capers are unable to attend the match. 

The East Coast Select team will consist of local players currently playing university soccer in Atlantic Canada, along with a select number of pre-season trialists involved in the Wanderers training camp. Saint Mary’s University Head Coach Mesut Mert will manage the Selects team, assisted by UPEI Head Coach Lewis Page.

Friday’s first match of the double-header reached capacity for RSVPs the same day that the free tickets were made available. 

The second match, which will now be played indoors at the BMO Soccer Centre on Saturday, March 15 (10 a.m. kickoff), is now open to RSVPs from the public. There is limited capacity at the venue.
