Halifax Wanderers captain Andre Rampersad has been called up by the Trinidad and Tobago men’s national team for the nation’s upcoming CONCACAF Gold Cup qualifying playoff. The midfielder was named to the provisional squad on Thursday.
Trinidad and Tobago will face Cuba in a two-match series that begins on Friday, March 21, in Santiago, Cuba, and wraps up on Tuesday, March 25, in Couva, Trinidad and Tobago.
The two sides recently squared off in a pair of matches in October, drawing 2-2 in Cuba before a 3-1 win for the Soca Warriors in Trinidad and Tobago. Rampersad played the full 90 minutes in both matches.
Since his international debut in 2023, Rampersad has made 18 appearances for his country, scoring his first international goal during the 2023 Gold Cup.
