Wanderers Grounds
The Halifax Wanderers play their last home match of the 2022 campaign Saturday afternoon when they host Atlético Ottawa at the Wanderers Grounds.
The gates open at 1:30 p.m. and there’s lots to be aware of for this Fan Appreciation and Treaty Day match.
Here are some things to keep in mind before you arrive.

Getting into the grounds
To save time at the gates, make sure you download your tickets before you leave. If you are a Season Seat Member or Flex Pack Member, you can access your tickets by clicking here. Follow the prompts to sign in to your account and download your tickets.
If you purchased a single-match ticket, you can download your digital ticket through the Ticketmaster app or www.ticketmaster.ca

We will be maintaining our extra points of entry added to The Grounds. You may enter at any gate, but this map details their locations to find the one closest to your seat.
Please keep in mind that the wheelchair-accessible section (WCACC) has moved back to its former location in the southeast corner of the stadium. The new entry point for this section is now Gate F.
Reminder: Umbrellas are not permitted inside the Wanderers Grounds. Drinking containers filled with liquid of any kind are also not permitted.
The Halifax Wanderers Football Club continues to follow the latest public health guidelines from the Province of Nova Scotia. Under the current guidelines, proof of vaccination is not required to enter The Grounds, and the wearing of masks is not mandatory.

A trip to our Stadium Fan Shop inside Gate A has just what you need to show your support for the home team!
This Saturday’s Item of the Match is our Brigadoon co-branded fanny pack and it will be sold exclusively at the Stadium Fan Shop.

The Stadium Fan Shop is located inside Gate A in the stadium’s northwest corner and will be open from 1:30 p.m. until the start of the second half.
Our Wanderers Fan Shop at 5566 Sackville St. is also open from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. to get your team gear on your way to The Grounds. The Item of the Match is not available at this location on match day.
Theme Match
Today’s match is “Brigadoon Day”, as well as Fan Appreciation match at the Wanderers Grounds.
At the match, stop by the Stadium Fan Shop and pick up a Wanderers-Brigadoon fanny pack. All proceeds go towards helping kids with chronic illness or other life challenges attending Brigadoon Village – Canada’s largest pediatric medical camp facility.
We have a special live performance before the match on Saturday. Presented by Q104, local rocker Christine Campbell will get the Wanderers Grounds rocking during the pre-game show and halftime.
The stage is set up in front of The Kitchen near section 109. Gates open at 1:30 so get in early and find your spot for the show!
Saturday, October 1, is Treaty Day. Nova Scotians mark Treaty Day to celebrate the rich history, proud culture and important contributions of the Mi’kmaq people.
We will also look ahead to the 2023 North American Indigenous Games. 5,000 athletes, 756 Nations, & You. The North American Indigenous Games are coming to Kjipuktuk next July for the largest celebration of sport and culture in Atlantic Canada since contact. They’ll have a booth set up behind the grandstands during the game, so stop by to learn how you can experience the Games as a volunteer.
Fan Appreciation
Saturday is our last home match of the 2022 season, don’t miss your chance to take in a Wanderer match live this fall.
Stick around post-match to meet the players for photos and autographs. Enter the pitch from the Patio Section and pick up a free autograph sheet and say hi to your favourite Wanderers!
What’s new at The Grounds
The Halifax Wanderers have continued year-after-year improvements to the ‘temporary’ stadium at the Wanderers Grounds. Added upgrades lift our capacity to 6500 people.
A new partnership with Brigadoon introduces Brigadoon Corner on the stadium’s northwest corner. New elevated decks were also built on The Patio in front of The Kitchen (east grandstand).
Fans can now access the washroom building on the northside of The Grounds, along with portable toilets. For Tuesday’s match, this building will open at 7 p.m.
The box office to purchase and troubleshoot your tickets is now located in the blue sea can between gates A and B.

Grab some food and drink before kickoff and refuel during the match
Fans arriving early to the match can take advantage of half-off drink prices with Happy Hour. For Saturday’s match, it will run for 60 minutes after the gates open (1:30-2:30 p.m.)
Drink options include offerings from Garrison Brewing, Molson, Nova Scotia Spirits Co., Collective Arts Gin Cocktails, On The Rocks, and Benjamin Bridge. Non-alcoholic beverages from Pepsi, Gatorade and Viveau mineral water are also available, along with Heineken 0.0.

Match preview
Tuesday’s opponent is Atletico Ottawa. They enter the match with a record of 12 wins, nine draws and five losses. In their last Canadian Premier League match, Atlético Ottawa defeated Cavalry FC 3-1.
The Wanderers enter this match following a 2-0 loss against Pacific FC.
Halifax has a record of eight wins, five draws and 13 losses.
