Andre Rampersad selected by Trinidad and Tobago for Gold Cup
Halifax Wanderers captain Andre Rampersad has been selected by the Trinidad and Tobago National Team ahead of the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Rampersad departed Halifax this week to report to the team’s training camp in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Trinidad and Tobago kicks off the tournament on June 25 against an opponent to be determined following the preliminary round. Playing in Group A, Trinidad and Tobago will also face Jamaica (June 28, St. Louis) and the United States (July 2, Charlotte).
This is the second international call-up for Rampersad in 2023. The midfielder was selected in March for a pair of matches in the CONCACAF Nations League. Rampersad made his international debut on March 24 against the Bahamas in a 3-0 victory.
