The Halifax Wanderers play their first home match of the 2025 season this Saturday against Pacific FC. In advance of the return of the squad to its home in downtown Halifax, the club is excited to share numerous upgrades that have been undertaken to improve the fan experience at matches this season.
CHANGES TO THE GRANDSTAND
The Wanderers were able to install additional seating on both sets of grandstands, which will see capacity at the stadium expand to 7,244. The main grandstand has been extended on both sides, and a completely new stand was installed behind the east goal. The new stand is now 30 feet closer to the pitch, putting the supporters in The Kitchen closer to the action than ever and giving them the chance to really bring their energy to the match!
NEW GATE TIMES, HAPPY HOUR AND DRINK OFFERINGS
Starting this season, gates into the stadium will now open one hour before the scheduled kickoff time. For those fans who love to arrive early, the Wanderers are introducing a Fan Zone that will open 90 minutes before kickoff in the Lawn Bowling Club lot in front of Gates E and D.
The club is excited to welcome several new drinks partners this season. Fans will now be able to enjoy Michelob Ultra, Stella Artois and Wyatt Rose Ranch Water along with returning favourites from Garrison Brewing, Sprizzi, Propeller Craft Cocktails, Canadian Club, Blue Lobster and Annapolis Cider Company.
The club has lowered prices for alcoholic beverages with a 10% reduction on most products. For the first time, bars at Wanderers matches will offer 355ml cans for under $10 (Michelob Ultra – $7.75, Stella Artois, $8.75, Blue Lobster & Annapolis Coder – $8.75). The entire venue will remain cashless, and all prices are plus HST. Fans will be able to enjoy Happy Hour prices on 355ml cans for $5 each until 30 minutes before kickoff in both the Fan Zone and the stadium.
Non alcoholic offerings are available from Pepsi, Gatorade, Celsius and a new non-alcoholic beer from Tuesday Brewing. A station to fill empty water bottles continues to be available inside the stadium.
EXPANDED WASHROOM SPACE
As the Wanderers continue to work towards a permanent stadium solution, the club is taking additional steps to upgrade the fan experience with the washroom facilities. This season, additional washrooms have been added behind the main grandstand in an effort to cut down on wait times during breaks in the action.
