Wanderers beverage partners ready for home opener

Another exciting season of Halifax Wanderers soccer is almost here. As the club heads into the home opener on April 30, we are excited to welcome back our returning beverage partners to The Grounds in 2022.

Fans arriving early to the match can take advantage of half off their drinks with Happy Half Hour for the first half-hour after the gates open at every home game. Half-price drinks will run from 2-2:30 p.m. at the Home Opener.

“We’re excited about the wide array of options for fans to have a cold drink while enjoying a Wanderers match,” Halifax Wanderers President and Founder Derek Martin said. “We hope our fans have a good time enjoying the atmosphere of a professional soccer game and that they plan a safe way to get home after the match.”

Leading the way are two main beverage partners for the Wanderers this season: Molson Canada and Garrison Brewing.

Garrison is a founding partner and has grown its offering at the Grounds year over year. In 2021 we collaborated to launch the Wanderers Tall Ship Light (available across Nova Scotia). This year you can try Georgia Peach and Hoppy Boy. You may even run into surprise additions on the menu at the new Garrison Corner.

Molson came on board in 2020 and is a strong supporter of the club. Their support includes the addition of the new Heineken Deck, located by the Lawn Bowls entrance. Ticket holders in this standing-room deck will experience an excellent viewing sightline and complete Heineken immersion. Coors Light, Fine Company Radler, Heineken 0.0 and Strongbow round out the Molson collection.

Nova Scotia Spirits Co. is another four-year partner of the Wanderers. Owner Evan MacEachern is an alumn of the Cape Breton University soccer team and a strong advocate for the Canadian Premier League. Their Blue Lobster products have become a fan favourite. This season, The Grounds will feature the new Tropical Punch, Cranberry Lime, and Lemon Lime Classic. The Blue Lobster Zone is located in front of The Kitchen and provides an excellent environment for fans.

Other mixed drinks available include Canadian Club and ginger ale, Collective Arts Gin Cocktail and 100ml On The Rocks pre-mixed cocktails.

Rounding out the list is the Benjamin Bridge Piquette, adding a sparkling wine for those warm summer days. You can also check out the Piquette Zero 0.0 non-alcoholic beverage in local stores.

Non-alcoholic brands available at Wanderers matches include Viveau (flavoured mineral water made in Nova Scotia), Pepsi products, Gatorade, and Heineken 0.0.
