Wanderers Henry, Ferrazzo and Wilson named to CPL Team of the Week

A trio of Wanderers have been named to the most recent Canadian Premier League Team of the Week.

Defenders Doneil Henry and Riley Ferrazzo and midfielder Armaan Wilson were all recognized for their efforts in the club’s 1-1 away draw with Pacific FC.

The Gatorade Team of the Week is selected by Kristian Jack from the Canadian Premier League and OneSoccer’s Oliver Platt.

Doneil Henry (Halifax Wanderers)

In his second consecutive start, Doneil Henry played a big role in Halifax preserving a point at Pacific on Friday night. The Canadian international made five clearances and an interception while completing 84.4 per cent of his passes as he led a young Wanderers backline.

Riley Ferrazzo (Halifax Wanderers)

Ferrazzo put in a shift at both ends of the pitch on Friday, but particularly with an outstanding defensive effort. The Halifax wing back made five clearances, won three fouls and won six of eleven duels while playing a key role as a connecter when they were in possession.

Armaan Wilson (Halifax Wanderers)

Wilson scored his first goal for Halifax in his first start for the club, and put in an outstanding performance on Friday at Starlight Stadium. The 21-year-old also won all seven of his duels, including four in the air, and made two interceptions.
