The Halifax Wanderers’ centre-back duo has been named to the most recent Canadian Premier League Team of the Week.
Both Daniel Nimick and Cale Loughrey were recognized for their efforts in the Wanderers’ 1-1 away draw with Forge FC on Saturday. Nimick scored the Wanderers’ goal.
The Gatorade Team of the Week is selected by Kristian Jack from the Canadian Premier League and OneSoccer’s Oliver Platt.

Daniel Nimick
Another goal from the penalty spot for Nimick opened the scoring for Halifax on Saturday night in Hamilton. He also created two chances while also putting in a strong defensive shift with eight clearances.
Cale Loughrey (HFX Wanderers)
Loughrey and Nimick have made up one of the league’s best defensive pairings this season. He was strong again on Saturday against Forge completing 44 of his 50 passes, and making a pair of interceptions.
