Stadium Profile
Stadium: Wanderers Grounds
Halifax is a city of contrast; new and old, history and future. No site may better exemplify this juxtaposition than the Wanderers Grounds in Downtown Halifax.
Situated beneath Citadel Hill in an area generally known as Halifax Commons, the newly restored pitch is just across Summer street from the Titanic’s lost souls. The Public Gardens are directly south, while condos rise from the East.
A modern grandstand rises to the North, while the supporters section ‘The Kitchen and Patio’ occupy the “Fort End” of the grounds. In total, the intimate stadium accommodates more than 6,500 spectators in a combination of GA patios, grandstand seating, premium pitchside tables, Suites and Sky Suites.
But perhaps the greatest feature of Harbour’s new home stadium, is the proximity to the City’s entertainment district. A short 10 minute “Grand Parade” up Sackville street, supporters spilling out of their favourite establishments in what has come to be known as the ‘March to The Match’.
